Cotton & Conservation Video Series
Thanks to a partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, North Plains Groundwater Conservation District will post weekly video updates from four cotton demonstration sites throughout the district, detailing progress and data through the growing season. Videos will describe the growth stage of the cotton, any insect or disease pressure, and report on irrigation, soil moisture, and any management variables. This video series will help producers in the North Plains better manage their cotton in hopes of saving water while maintaining or increasing yield. Data will also be used to determine growing degree days for cotton in the North Plains.
